Baby Suite
At Valentina Montessori School, the Baby suite consists of two rooms dedicated to babies and toddlers aged 3 months to 2 years. Our nursery unit teachers are available to discuss your child's development and needs, ensuring home routines are maintained at the nursery. Activities are planned based on individual needs through tracking and observation. Each child is assigned a key teacher who will discuss progress regularly and provide a detailed learning journey each term. Parent-teacher meetings occur once a term, and daily charts for sleep, food, and nappies are maintained. Verbal reports are given at the end of each day. Continuous staff training is conducted by our in-house team to align with our curriculum, and we have a senior first aid officer supported by staff certified in paediatric first aid.

Practical Life and Sensorial Class
Lower school caters for children between 2 and 3 years. Children will have a gentle introduction to nursery routines during their daily play and learning activities. Each day there are opportunities for children to socially interact with each other developing their understanding of sharing and turn taking as part of a small group. Storytelling, music sessions and role play activities all promote good language and listening skills.

Math and Language, Graduating Class
At the age of three, children move into the preschool phase of their nursery education. Valentina uses the famous Montessori approach, aimed at achieving the correct balance of physical, social and intellectual stimulation for young children. Within a child centred environment, children can develop confidently at their own pace. In upper school the class sizes are kept to no more than eight children to one teacher. The materials used by the children within our Montessori are carefully designed to allow personal development through investigation and sensorial stimulation, encouraging analytical skills, which can be channelled into all areas of life. All children’s progress is monitored and recorded regularly.

Key Stage 1
The primary section's Years 1 and 2 at our school offer a broad and balanced curriculum based on the British National Curriculum. This curriculum builds on the skills, knowledge, and understanding students have acquired in Early Years settings. We emphasize a positive approach to school and learning through a strong partnership between parents, teachers, and students. Our aim is to create a friendly, attractive, and welcoming environment where students can develop their skills and grow as confident, lifelong learners.

Key Stage 2
Key Stage 2 at our school covers Years 3 to 6, for children aged seven to eleven. During this stage, foundations are laid for secondary school, with a strong focus on mathematics and English. Students develop basic mathematical techniques and enhance their reading and writing skills. Science is taught through participatory activities to foster enthusiasm. The broad and challenging curriculum includes history, geography, numeracy, science, literacy, verbal and non-verbal, computing, and french. While influenced by the English National Curriculum, our curriculum is adapted to incorporate elements of the Nigerian and American Curricula.

Extra Curricular Activities
A superb team of dedicated staff, along with Hip-hop, Music, Ballet, Taekwondo, Art & Craft teachers, provide a happy, homely atmosphere. Staffs are fully trained to meet individual needs and direct group activities with love and affection. The school aims to create a safe and happy environment where children can develop, grow, and fulfill their potential, while behaving considerately and respectfully. Independence and learning are fostered by building confidence and offering opportunities.
