About Us
Valentina Montessori and Primary School was founded by Sola Grillo in September 2004, starting off with the Montessori. 2008 saw the addition of the primary school, which focuses on teaching the British Curriculum – Key Stages 1 & 2. Valentina Montessori and Primary School is located at 11 Baptist Church Street, Gbagada Phase 2, Lagos.

Our History
Dr. Maria Montessori
The Montessori method of teaching was named after Dr. Maria Montessori who was born in Chiaravalle, a small town near Alcona in the Marche in Eastern Italy in 1870. She was the first Italian woman to qualify as a Doctor of Medicine and also studied psychology and engineering. However her prime motivation for most of her adult life was the education of a child. Fundamental to the Montessori approach is a great respect for the child as an individual.
